Swan Lake S.C.




I had several hours to kill in Sumter S.C. before catching my flight up to D.C. and on to Qatar so I google mapped Sumter to look for parks. I figured I could take some pics or just relax. I spotted Swan Lake-Iris Gardens and off I went. I had no idea I was in for such an amazing jewel of a park. I had absolutely no idea this place was going to be so nice. I spent the next few hours walking the paths and bridges throught eh swamps/ponds taking in the sights and as promised swans. They have every know

I was taking some action stills during the canon fire display and this shot caught my eye. Shot taken with Canon 7D and Sigma 18-250mm lens. Sunlight white balance, ISO-125, f/10 at 1/160 sec exposure time, 95mm and pattern metering.

Williamsburg VA




While attending a training course in VA I had the fortune to spend a day in Colonial Williamsburg. It was a great day chance to capture some fun shots using my Canon 7D and sigma

Fall Touch



Fall offers some unique chances to catch color contrasts and simple subject matter that is often over looked. I took these shots using Canon 7D and Sigma 18-250mm lens while traveling to VA and SC in October 2011. The East was not in its full fall color mode yet but there were enough subtle hints of autumn to bring the camera to eye.
