Lost Tales
In the west things are rarely torn down...they are just left to eventually crumble and be reclaimed by the landscape. I am always drawn to the countless old barns and homesteads I come across and wonder what stories they hold. This great place was in eastern WA between Moscow ID and Spokane WA. Shot with Canon 7D and Sigma 18-250mm lens. f/13 aperture for 1/50 sec exposure and ISO-125. 63mm focal length, sunlight WB and center weighted average.

The old barn and out buildings were shot using Canon 7D and Sigma 18-250mm lens. f/9 aperture for 1/160 sec and ISO-100, 95mm focal length, sunlight WB and center weighted average.

GO Vandals!
The beautiful U of I campus in Moscow Idaho. Each time we visit our son Kurt there we discover a little more of the fantastic grounds. This was taken walking through a wonderful arboretum on campus. Heading to Spokane WA from Moscow ID we passed this great old farm truck along the road. The character and color really caught my eye. Pic taken with Canon 7D and Sigma 18-250mm lens. f/20 aperture for 1/60 sec at ISO-125, 35mm focal length, sunlight WB and center weighted average. Contrast and color saturation adjusted during post edit.
Grand Union lobby in Ft Benton, MT
To celebrate Tina's LPN graduation from MSU we drove to historic Ft Benton to the Grand union for a fantastic meal. The building was opened in 1888 and has remained open since. It serves as both hotel and restaurant with amazing fare. We all enjoyed the roasted duck breast! I took this shot using Canon power shot G12 in auto mode.
