We made a nice family vacation to the Badlands and Black Hills in 2008. We made the obvious stops and took in the sights. Mt Rushmore has a very nice boardwalk/trail that takes you up close to the base of the monument. We also visited Crazy Horse which is progressing slowly but steadily.
